The Library is at the 6th  floor of  Palit Building  in Taraknath Siksha Prangan, Popularly Known as Ballygaunge Science College, at 35, Ballygaunge Circular Road, Kolkata 700019.

The Library had its origin at the Department of Applied Chemistry at Rashbihari Siksha Prangan (Rajabazar Science College) since the inception of the department in 1956. Later, it was shifted to the present location in 1960s.

Although the Department started functioning independently in 1956, the library have  a significant collection of science journals dated 80 to 85 years back which is much sought after by scholars and faculty members for their research work.

Monday to Friday: 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
